One of the main arguments against mid_Acts dispensationalism is that the earthly apostles of Jesus Christ had to be in the body of Christ before Paul. Paul says that the church is built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets. 
Paul also says that the message given to him was now revealed to the holy apostles and prophets. The focus is always on the apostles, while forgetting about the prophets. Some passages are simply misread, and others make assumptions that are only applied to apostles while not applying them to prophets.
