To make all men see….. Ephesians 3:9

The Day the Lord Marveled

Scripture reveals two events in which Christ marveled. Both times it has to do with faith. One time it is because of someone’s faith, the other time because of the lack of faith.

First he marvels that his own people and kin have no faith. This was extraordinary because the Jews had the word of God. They were to be teachers of the law, yet they didn’t believe the fulfillment of prophecies happening right before their eyes.

The second time he marveled was because of faith – but not of his own people. He marvels at the faith of a Gentile. Some Gentiles believed what the Jews refused to believe, even though the Gentiles did not have the word of God.

Faith is about WHAT you believe – NOT how much you believe. A tiny bit of faith in the truth is much more powerful than wholehearted belief in a lie.
