God has given Christ all things. Those who are in Christ are called joint-heirs with Christ. That means that all things given to Christ have been given to those in Christ.
But it was Christ that was chosen. We become part of the chosen when we by faith are placed into the body of Christ. All things that we are given are ours because they are Christ’s and we are in him. We have nothing outside of Christ, but in him we have all things by grace through faith in his shed blood.
None of these things which we are given in him require God to intervene in the lives of believers to accomplish His will. Election, predestination, calling and so on are all Christ’s. We are included in these when we are placed in Christ by the faith of the operation of God. God is in control of all that He purposed to do, and His purpose cannot fail or be altered by the actions of man.
