As we have seen the Father, Son and Holy Spirit work together in charity, so also do we see them work together in hope.
God promised the hope of eternal life before the world began. When He created the universe, He created time. As God works out His plan through time, He is working within time. God is now patiently working out this plan of eternal life.
Hope involve patience. This is why Paul talks about the Thessalonians “patience of hope.” It is how he describes hope in Romans 8:25: ” But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.”
Jesus Christ demonstrated this in his patience unto death.
The Holy Spirit expresses His patience of hope when he seals believers until the day of redemption.
