Who was Jesus Christ? A created God? A great man and prophet? 
Jesus Christ was in fact the Jehovah of the Old Testament. He was God incarnated as man. Comparing passages from the Old Testament to ones in the new bears this out and shows that Jesus Christ was an equal part of the Godhead.
