When Paul addresses Timothy in his final letter, he tells him to be strong and of good courage, and to be faithful. His mission was to teach men who could teach others. What Timothy and Titus were to teach others was the sound words that they had heard of Paul, and what they had heard of Paul among many witnesses. As Paul handed his stewardship over to these men, he gave them the message we should follow if we wish to be good stewards.
